Can Price Per Head Be Harmful For Bookies?

Price per head is a service most bookies consider at one point or another. Some will make the deal with the company offering price per head services, others will say it’s bollocks and others will look around for information and confirmation by a third party (probably you).

In any case, if you’re a bookie and want to learn more about price per head companies before making such a decision, or are looking to compare and see which price per head company is the best choice (assuming there is at least one that’s worthwhile).

Moving on let’s ask this, which are the supposed benefits of hiring a price per head company?

When hiring a price per head company you are supposed to be able to reduce your workload and in some time be able to increase your profits (after a few months of perceiving less income because of costs and an eventual increase because you have found more clients).

This is quite possible, but how does it happen?

They offer you bookmaker software and customer service agents based in a call-center (usually owned by them). Some (the better price per head companies) will also offer you additional services, including web-design, web-hosting and others.

Regardless if you choose a good or a bad price per head company you can end up perceiving prolonged negative effects because of using their services; well, this depends on the amount of clientele you have when joining.

If you have a very small database (15 or less), then it’s quite possible you will perceive a much smaller income than usual. Unless you manage to quickly expand that database and at least double its size in the next two or three months, it may be harmful for your pocket. If this is the case, make a small effort to find new clients before taking the step to move on to a price per head company.

Assuming you have a decent amount of regular clients, the only other way that hiring price per head services can prove to be harmful is if you choose the wrong company.

Thanks to the Internet a lot of fake companies (and lousy ones) are capable of gaining exposure and give the impression that they are worthwhile while they aren’t. In the case of price per head services this is a common reality; most of the companies you find offering pph services are awful (including some that manage to appear on the first pages of Google).

Selecting the wrong company can prove to be harmful because your clients will end up calling a dreadful customer service which will make them want to look elsewhere to bet, as well as having problems with the software – or getting useless software which actually makes you work more – not to mention the possible problems with cash transfers.

On the other hand, selecting the right price per head company will change the way you do business for the better.

If you have over 20 clients (I’d suggest between 30 and 40 to be on a better starting point) and want to expand your business while reducing workload or just have more free time, do consider a price per head company; just be sure to do your homework and pick one which will actually help you and keep your clients happy.

I recommend ABC Price Per Head . Whether you use it or not, at least it’s a starting point.
